GETEC-Arena - A Portrait

Opened in 1997, the GETEC-Arena is one of the most modern and architecturally fascinating indoor arenas in Germany. The biggest multipurpose hall in Saxony-Anhalt is also easily accessible, situated on the eastern side of the Elbe river, in Magdeburg’s city centre.
The arena boasts an array of functional rooms, including the main hall (which seats up to 7000) and a selection of areas to suit all needs, from conference, press and VIP areas through to workout and relaxation rooms. Alongside this, the Bördelandhalle is also fitted with outstanding technical equipment, making it one of Germany’s premier venues.
It is acknowledged as being the largest and most attractive venue in Saxony-Anhalt for sport, classical music, ballet, revues, musicals, entertainment shows and all kinds of concerts.
The German broadcasters ARD, ZDF and RTL have already made the most of the GETEC-Arena impressive functionality, using it for several successful television productions.
The venue offers athletes excellent conditions for training and competition and impresses musicians and entertainers with its modern ambience.
The GETEC-Arena is certified handicapped accessible.
